Mostly jobs where you work with money in the markets.
Equity research is the big one in India. You study companies, build a model in Excel and write whether a stock looks cheap or expensive. Brokerages, banks and asset managers hire for it all the time.
Investment banking is the flashy one. You help companies with deals, like mergers or raising money. The hours are brutal and the pay can be very good. The valuation work you learn in Level 2 feeds straight into it. Then there’s portfolio management, which is what many people dream about. You decide what a fund buys and sells. Nobody gets this job straight out of college though. It usually comes after years of research or analyst work.
Wealth management is more about people. You help rich families decide where to put their money, so talking to clients matters as much as the numbers. And you’ll also find CFAs in private equity, credit and market risk, corporate finance and fintech.
