Understanding ACCA and MBA at a Glance
ACCA and the MBA are often mentioned in the same breath, but they are actually two very different career challenges.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a globally recognised professional qualification centred on accounting, auditing, taxation, financial reporting, business law and strategic financial management. The programme aims to produce finance professionals who are technically strong and can work across industries and international markets.
An MBA is a more holistic approach. Rather than focusing on a single function, it gives students exposure to various areas of business including finance, marketing, operations, strategy, leadership, entrepreneurship and organizational management.
Here's a simple way to think of it:
ACCA teaches you how businesses measure financial performance. MBA teaches you how businesses make strategic decisions.
In either case there is no better way. They only train professionals for different jobs.
