The Big 4: Still the Biggest Draw for Finance Careers
When people think about finance jobs at Big 4 firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG remain the first names that come up, and for good reason. These firms provide audit, assurance, tax and advisory services to multinational companies, banks and government bodies, and they continue to be some of the most consistent recruiters among companies hiring finance professionals 2026.
What's changed meaningfully is who they're hiring. Earlier, Big 4 hiring in India leaned heavily toward Chartered Accountants. In 2026, hiring has shifted to be more skill-based than qualification-exclusive. All four Big 4 firms now run substantial roles that don't require a CA qualification at all, particularly in US GAAP financial reporting, international audit support, and GCC support functions. This shift is exactly why top companies hiring CPA CMA professionals increasingly include Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG alongside their traditional CA-focused hiring.
Lateral CPA hires at Big 4 India firms typically start between ₹12 and 20 LPA depending on experience, while ACCA-qualified candidates are also actively recruited for international audit, IFRS reporting and advisory work involving global clients. Beyond the Big 4, firms like Grant Thornton, BDO and RSM are expanding their India operations aggressively, adding further depth to the finance jobs at Big 4-adjacent firms landscape.
