US CPA Exam Eligibility for International Candidates
If you wish to sit for the uniform US CPA exam, you have to satisfy the exam and educational requirements, which are set by the US state boards of Accountancy. Every state board has its own set of regulations. However, the majority of them need the following:
The state board must approve the application before exam registration.
You must have a bachelor's degree or higher from a reputable institute.
120 or 150 credit hours of college education are compulsory (depending on the state), with business and accounting courses.
Once you have met all the CPA exam eligibility requirements, you can then register via NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy). After that, you can schedule your exam sections at the Prometric test centres.
